Crafting With Craft Beads

Are you sick of the same old hobbies and crafts that you've been doing?  Are you looking for some fun new craft ideas?  If so, then you should try crafting with craft beads!

There are many varieties of craft beads and they come in all shapes including triangular, round and even shaped like paddle wheels.  They also come in a variety of sizes and any colors imaginable.  Craft beads can be made of wood, glass, plastic or other materials.  The possibilities are endless.

If you are the type of person that likes to follow directions, you can buy craft beads that come in a kit.  Those beads are designed to make a particular item, such as a teddy bear.

On the other hand, maybe you are the type of person that likes to just let your imagination take over.  If that's the case you can just buy whatever craft beads look good to you and jump right in.  You could either start out using one or two particular types of craft beads, or buy a large bag of assorted craft beads.  If you are a really industrious person then you could even make your own beads out of items you find around the house.

Most craft beads are designed with a hole in the middle, so that they can be strung on a string, pipe cleaner or something similar.  However, they can also be glued.  You can even use craft beads with other items.  For instance, you can knit a hat or a sweater and string beads onto the yarn as you knit to embellish your work.

Craft beads are great fun for the whole family as well.  Kids love all the different shapes, colors and textures, so working with beads can really encourage their imaginations.  The entire family can enjoy making holiday decorations or other fun craft projects with craft beads.

If you like to be organized about your crafts, you might want to remember that some beads come already sorted by shape, size and color.  However other beads come in mixed assortments and need to be sorted by hand.  You should consider buying a case, into which you can sort your craft beads.  Although they make cases for that exact purpose, a simple fishing tackle box will also work as a temporary or even permanent solution.

You might want to consider keeping any supplies that you need, such as string, yarn or scissors, in specific containers or cases near your craft beads.  That way you'll have all of the supplies that you need handy when you want to work on your craft projects.

Whether you prefer to work on your crafts alone or with friends or family, craft beads are great fun.  When you're crafting with craft beads, you can be as random or organized as you want to be.  You can make anything you want to at any time.  So, keep an open mind and let your imagination take off.  Everyone can have a lot fun working with craft beads!
